Nyxlo

Word packs

A Premium feature that lets you swap your entire session word pool for a fresh one — not add more words on top of what you've already heard a hundred times.

The short version: Nyxlo comes with 848 bundled words built in. Word packs are optional downloads that add a completely separate, additional pool of words. You pick one active pack at a time — switching is instant and reversible, and nothing you already have is ever deleted or changed.

Why packs replace, not add

If a new pack just mixed a handful of new words into the same pool you'd already been hearing for weeks, you'd still mostly hear the old, familiar words — the new ones would barely register. So packs work differently: each one is a separate, self-contained word pool. Switching to a new pack means you hear only that pack's words for your session, giving you a genuinely fresh experience rather than a slightly-diluted old one.

Getting a pack

  1. Open the settings icon (⚙) on the main screen
  2. Tap Word packs
  3. Pick one and tap Download — packs are a Premium feature, so you'll be prompted to unlock Premium first if you haven't already

Downloads are checksum-verified before they're installed, so a corrupted or interrupted download is safely rejected rather than silently causing problems later.

Switching which pack is active

Back on the main screen, under the voice controls, a Word pack picker appears once you've downloaded at least one pack. Tap any pack to make it active — that's what your next session will draw words from.

You can switch back to Pack 1 (Original) at any time — it's always there, it was never touched by downloading anything else.

PackWordsNotes
Pack 1 (Original)848Built into the app — always available, no download needed
Pack 21,000A completely fresh set spanning nature, animals, food, textures, the night sky, and more — Premium download

Removing a pack

From the Word packs screen, tap Remove on any installed pack to delete it and free up storage. If it was your active pack, Nyxlo falls back to Pack 1 automatically — you'll never be left with no words to play.
